Laborer (Production Worker) 1st & 2nd Shifts - $17.50 an hour!

Mansfield, Texas
Our Mansfield, TX plant is seeking laborers/production workers.
Duties include supporting welded-wire and corrugated plate manufacturing operations by assisting the lead operator in running automated welding machines, handling materials and packaging and bundling finished goods for transport.
The position is responsible for loading and unloading materials and using a variety of tools and machines such as forklifts, welders, assembly machines, banders and electric pallet jacks.

Primary Responsibilities
- Receives instructions and schedules from plant supervision.
- Obeys all safety protocols and policies.
- Only operates equipment with direct supervision.
- Works directly with trainer to perform various duties.
- Checks all finished work for obvious defects.
- May record production onto production reports.
- Maintains work area and equipment in clean, orderly conditions.
- Helps to ensure that all finished product meets Contech s quality standards.
- Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attention to details and organizational skills
- Ability to work with others
- Able to lift 20 pounds or greater
- Must be able to work off-shifts.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience with steel manufacturing.
- Experience operating a forklift, especially experience operating an industrial forklift
